It truly is the best of both worlds. Can you ever go wrong with a little savory + sweet for breakfast? I’ve been on a loaded toast kick in the mornings for a minute now and it really is something I look forward to when I start my day off.
TJ’s (Trader Joes) is my go-to for a lot of interesting, seasonal spices, which is what you’ll notice below. If you don’t have one in your area, check out the seasoning section at your local grocery store – it’s a great way to get creative with your meals and adds that finishing touch of flavor.
SAVORY
- Toasted GF flax bread
- Pasture-raised butter
- Vegan Cream Cheese (I use Miyoko’s Creamery Vegan Cream Cheese)
- Organic Microgreens (Kale, basil, arugula, parsley)
- Radish
- Himalayan pink salt
- Ground black pepper
- Cayenne powder
- Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend (TJ’s)
DIRECTIONS
- Toast bread to your preference
- Chop radish into thin slices
- Spread on a sliver of butter, then vegan cream cheese
- Top with pink salt, black pepper, cayenne, and sesame seasoning blend
- Add microgreens and radish!
SWEET
- Toasted GF flax bread
- Organic peanut butter
- Pumpkin butter (TJ’s)
- Pumpkin pie spice (TJ’s)
DIRECTIONS
- Toast bread to your preference
- Spread on peanut butter, then pumpkin butter
- Shake on some pumpkin pie spice!
